Basel

Monday was our day to visit Basel where we were greeted by a local tour guide who explained to us the many interesting historical facts on Basel. This was the only day sprinkled with some light rain, while all other days during our trip were beautiful sunshine. After sightseeing and lunch in Basel we returned to Solothurn through the Jura mountain range. In the evening, some of us strolled through the old town of Solothurn. The weather had cleared up again allowing for some nice evening pictures of the Clocktower and the St. Ursen-Kathedrale as shown below.
